Reveal: Emorie's Big Girl Room

We have been working on my sweet girl's "big girl room" for over a year. What started out as the "junk room" actually morphed into a cute little room. When we first moved in, we stashed everything we didn't want to deal with in that room and shut the door.

My kiddo is outgrowing her nursery and when we got pregnant with our second baby, we really started to work on the room. We miscarried, but we talked up her big girl room so much, we had to keep creating it. We've finished the room aside from buying her an area rug.

Knock-offs: Pottery barn-inspired decorating

I love Pottery Barn and Anthropologie. I don't always love their prices. While I do have a few genuine PB items in my home (bought on sale or saved up for them), most of what you see is inspired by PB. I'm afraid I have champagne taste on a tap-water budget.

Today, I will share my top five favorite Pottery Barn knock-offs with you. Some are DIYs, but most are knock-offs available at other retail stores. The authentic version appears on the left and the knock off appears on the right.

DIY: A knock-off Pottery Barn kids vanity stool

My daughter is outgrowing her nursery, so we are working to prepare a big girl room for her. We have painted it and are almost finished, except for buying a dresser and getting some artwork for her walls.

I had a sweet little white vanity sitting around from when I was growing up. I gave it a fresh coat of paint recently and a new drawer pull, but decided it needed a little something else.
