Pantry/Coat closet

First of all, I must apologize for my poor picture angles- it's hard to shoot good pictures due to the narrow pantry :) Our pantry and coat closet occupy the same room. One corner of our pantry is set up like a coat closet with a double shelf and a hanging rod.

We placed a boot tray on the floor below the rod in case of wet, dripping coats, but also as a space for parking shoes. See Emorie's cute rain boots?

Ikea baskets above hold ball caps, winter gloves, hats and scarves, sunglasses and bags. The vintage canister was something we already had. Not sure what I want to use it for, but I liked how it looked here.

I chose natural wood hangers to give the closet a pulled together look, but also because they are sturdy and will accommodate a heavy coat.

A low hanging rack accommodates bags and totes. Each family member gets his or her own hook for bags. Do you see Emorie's cute little "diaper bag?"

While this isn't really a coat closet, it does feel like its own little room. I love it because it has just enough room to store our coats, but not enough room to get too messy!

Where to buy:
