Common Sense Cleaning: Cleaning Schedule

Most of us employ some sort of cleaning strategy. I used to do all my cleaning on Saturday mornings, but I'm a meticulous cleaner, so this proved to be a problem.
Funny Weekend Ecard: So glad the weekend is here so I can wash the dishes, mop the floors, clean the toilets, dust the furniture and do the laundry! YAYNESS!!!

I ended up losing my entire Saturday to cleaning! Because Saturdays are reserved for spending time with family, I knew I needed a different solution. I found this handy cleaning schedule on Pinterest, and tried it for awhile, but found it needed some tweaking. I don't see that cleaning windows needs to be done more than once a month and dusting should be done once a week. Not to criticize, as this cleaning schedule obviously is working for this blogger. Home management is all about what works best for you.

Cleaning Schedule = genius.

I personally thrive on schedules and lists. I am a teacher, after all, so this isn't surprising. There is just something about laying all my to-dos out right there in front of me and checking them off as they're completed. Of course, there is also that feeling you get when you're finished and your list is full of check marks! I used the schedule from Little Green Notebook as a basis and came up with this, which you can see in print, hanging in my command center. As you can tell, it is very similar to the Cleaning Calendar from Little Green Notebook, but better for me.

Then we popped it in a frame and added it to our command center. It's the frame on the bottom left.
