Organized event planning...sort of.

We've had so much going on lately- my grandfather has been really sick, and we have had a lot to do to prepare for the upcoming birth of our second daughter. Still, I couldn't let my sweet girl's birthday party get pushed to the wayside. She turned four this month, and she asked for a Hello Kitty themed party.
It was delicious, and no, I didn't make it. I have no idea how to decorate cakes.
But, if you live in Central NC like us, Central Bakery in Asheboro is A-MA-ZING!

I usually start planning parties months ahead, but this one was rather thrown together. We managed to, even though the party was completely planned a month before the actual date, rent a bounce house for the kiddos. We also, due to a scheduling conflict, had to postpone the party a whole week, which meant most of our family members were on vacation and did not get to come.

We still had a lot of family members celebrate with us and Emorie and two of her cousins had a blast in the bounce house. She got so many nice gifts and has continued to talk about her party in the days since.

So, how do you plan a child's birthday party in a short amount of time? The best advice there is that you don't do it in a short amount of time, but if you do, a thoroughly organized checklist might make it less stressful. I used this checklist to make sure I didn't leave out anything and I didn't forget to bring anything to the party. It worked great, and even helped me to be a little less stressed.

I created this party planning checklist, which you can download for free. It looks a bit plain on Google Drive, but when you download it, it will look a little better. It's also a MS Word document, and you can edit it to your heart's content.

I hope you enjoy the checklist! Happy planning!
